Just a heads-up. I've probably go to !fosdem next year as well. It is probably 7 months from now and it's a bit early to plan for it. However, I'm having this idea of arranging a !gnusocial booth next year. I can't answer all technical question at the booth, but at least I can promote it and show examples of it. I will probably create a roll-up, stickers and other marketing material … -

@blog2ready Sorry for your experience of hosting your own instance. I hope you tried to get some help from the irc channel. I don't know how experienced in hosting you are, but as for now it is probably best to hook up with someone who has some knowledge about !gnusocial when starting to host. Myself is not experienced in hosting own stuff, but with a lot of reading , trail and error… -

@blog2ready ?? we like open discussion. However, you need to understand the concept of free in this context, which often refer to libre - software. You can do whatever you want with it. When a person starts an instance of !gnusocial , he/she decides what rules should be on that server. If I'm not comfortable with that instance I'm free to move to another which suits me or even better… -
