@heluecht I gave them a buzz, but they use softaculous apparently for their preinstalled stuff. Maybe !gnusocial might want to have a campaign to get them to substitute and remove statusnet, since as I understand it replaces that one.
-
@jrm I recommend installing !gnusocial using a git repository. Makes upgrading much easier. Upgrading from older StatusNets means you have to do a switcharoo on the directory to avoid colliding files anyway.
-
If I install statusnet (from 2013) in my hosting service, which provides it as a preinstalled script, is there an option after install to update it to !gnusocial?
-
Well this is interesting. I wonder if this is associated with the odd favourite notifications. Anyone else seeing something like this? !gnusocial #gnusocial https://social.10one.net/attachment/2706

^- Heja heja, @dfri på !gnusocial :)
-
@holger have a good time, too, and feel free to come back to !gnusocial anytime :) Maybe some day we'll have real interaction with !Diaspora
-
@holger #GNUsocial admins can also enable the #Diaspora plugin ( https://git.gnu.io/gnu/gnu-social/tree/master/plugins/Diaspora ) and keep following you! :D

@nicolasmaia we could try bridging cool !gnusocial accounts to twitter as well? ;-)

What would it take to dump the usernames of authenticated !gnusocial users in #apache logs? I see that usernames are dumped in /var/log/apache/access.log when gs is accessed via api (e.g. andstatus), while most other web services I run do not log this info. Any idea/help? !selfhost
-
well, that's interesting. New entry stating that a notice has been deleted. Is this a new !gnusocial feature?
-
@jcaktiv Ich kann mich nicht daran erinnern, dass man dich zur Aufsicht über !gnusocial bestimmt hätte.
-
@hikerus @hannes2peer But now #Andstatus doesn’t sync any more – what the heck is going on here? !gnusocial
-
Da gilt wohl das bewährte IT-Wort: Never change a running system:

I'm considering hosting another project. Something like !gnusocial, but not necessarily a social network. Anyone have any suggestions?
-
@mmn can pre-formatted text be done in !gnusocial ??? E.g. with #Markdown code?
-

RT @moshpirit@quitter.es: I've been thinking that !gnusocial https://status.vinilox.eu/group/1987/id should change...
