@resumer @knuthollund Yes, whether the post is removed is entirely up to the receiving side. Think of !gnusocial nodes as feed readers. It's up to the reader to decide whether to cache or not. It's a public network, and everyone using it should be aware that it is.
(our strength is not _data privacy_, but decentralisation and interoperability)

Any iOS Devs listening? !gnusocial still lags a usable iOS client. Neustatus and Mayo are both buggy and not up2date. Help appreciated.

Ja, ist beides veraltet und wohl mit !gnusocial nicht kompatibel (lauffaehig). Sorry, dass es keiner mehr weiterpflegt. Wenigstens per Browser sollte doch klappen.

@baerchennr13 Hallo. Es gibt wohl schon welche (#quitter.se ist "im Hintergrund" !gnusocial) aber die sind seit vielen Jahren liegen gelassen worden. Ich vermute, das liegt an #Apple's Developer Policy ... :-(

Die !gnusocial App-Situation für #iOS ist ja auch eher traurig. Mayo (last update May2014) oder Neustatus (last update Apr2013).

To get started in the network, I recommend checking the public feeds on the larger nodes to see if there are any interesting discussions going on (go to /main/all on sites like quitter.{se,no,is,es} and gnusocial.{de,net,no}) and start subscribing :]

I just pushed !gnusocial nightly into master and bumped version to 1.2.0 #beta3. Not sure how many beta steps we'll have before a "stable" but things are undoubtedly getting improved :]
