A "normal" user can run e.g. on #openshift a SN for herself, e.g. @eric does that since 7 months #adfree. And if someone wants to run a #public SN (offering accounts there), I think ads are not a good way, e.g. I run a ad-blocker, I wonder how much money one really gets. Better would be to ask the users #directly for #donations. In the end, personally: I don't like #ads

I know only the legadolibre SN which has #ads (and that makes it unattractive to me, though with a SN client that would be solvable)
