I love data. I was really happy to get my Wunderground-connected weather station back up and running after we moved into our house in Sudbury. Here is a look back at January. Lowest recorded temp? -22.8C (-9.0F). C’mon winter! You can do better than that!We did have some excellent winds recently, though. https://chirp.cooleysekula.net/attachment/7da630f262ce89a413b1621e6c416cb3da9e2b6381e0736762603cc0016ec875/view

Dr. Arvanitaki’s Medal Talk today was excellent. I have long been intrigued by the cosmic neutrino background. Her perspectives were fantastic, and I am excited to see her next work on the subject! https://twitter.com/perimeter/status/1606020971722379276

Chevy Volt 12V battery dead again after work today. A colleague boosted us and we got home. Time to replace that battery!(Got a portable battery booster today, so that provides a short-term solution until we get into the shop on Monday)

Chevy Volt started in the garage this morning. Good sign. Planning today's work site strategy around the idea of "not getting stuck 25km from home." 😃 This is a good winter test of the old Volt. It's a 2013. When the polar vortex descended to the US Midwest in 2016 or 2017, ours was the only car that reliably started in the morning during a family get together."Serenit…

Well, the 12V battery in our Chevy Volt was easily boosted and I was able to start and drive the car home. No guarantees for the morning, but I was relieved to make it home! Kudos to Bob’s Service Center for the quick response tonight!

12V battery in our Chevy Volt is dead! Time to try jumping it to see if that will get us going for tonight. Otherwise, time to tow. Grateful for the mechanic and tow truck on their way.
