Anybody know why mod_rewrite doesn't have a version # but mod_ssl does? #Apachehttpd
-
mod_ssl just has the same version as #ApacheHTTPD
-
in this case...
[root@ip-10-250-75-75 modules]# strings `pwd`/mod_ssl.so | grep "mod_ssl/[0-9]\.[0-9]"
mod_ssl/2.4.37
-
@musicman RE: their rival #ApacheSSL, all #DDG found was a Sourceforge project for the Win32 version. Even that hasn’t seen an updated release in a decade ( last code change was 2015 ).
I do see that ApacheSSL ( like #mod_ssl ) releases a version for each #Apache version. https://sourceforge.net/projects/apachessl/files/

@geniusmusing That’s a big hole in their plan. Better to have a school employee with a laser temperature gun scanning each student as he / she enters the campus. A parent may say “you’re a little warm, but it is too late to call $EMPLOYER and say I’m not coming, so you’re going to school today”.

I’ve met a small number of online friends in person after talking to them for years, always because I was working in or near their home towns. So, yes, I guess the same could apply for dating. I had a co-worker about fifteen years ago who moved across the country because he met someone on a forum. (Well, there was more to it. He’d lost his very specialized database program…

never had AOL, but my wife and I met online. Apparently only 7% of marriages (as of 2015) started this way, which seems low, but I guess a lot of people meet in college.

well, it's not like you pick them up at their place for the first date. You meet at a mall or restaurant or movie theater.
If they are able to not be a psycho for that long, then meeting someone at a bar is no less likely to have you end up dead.
-
although, that also depends on how long you've been talking online. I think Monk Turner may have dropped his bag off at my place the first time I met him in person.

There were many attractive young ladies at Epic, but I always felt weird about dating people at work. I literally have gone on one date with someone I worked with, ever. Funnily enough, Jacey and I were interview partners at Epic. It was ~2 years later that we went on a single date.

#TropStorm #Douglas in the Pacific may become a #Hurricane soon. Current direction is WNW, away from North America, but toward Hawaii. #PTC 7E degenerates into a remnant low.

Ransomware gang demands $7.5 million from Argentinian ISP ZDNethttps://www.zdnet.com/article/ransomware-gang-demands-7-5-million-from-argentinian-isp/ >A ransomware gang has infected the internal network of Telecom Argentina, one of the country's largest internet service providers, and is now asking for a $7.5 million ransom demand to unlock encrypted files. > >The incident too…

I was on the phone with S a couple of nights ago. She needed someone to talk to because her dad is hospitalized. His test results have not come back yet, but they suspect #COVID-19. Her younger brother, who had recently moved from #NC to #GA to take care of him, had been tested and is on self-quarantine. While we were still on the phone, her older brother (I don’t know what…

I see a lot of trash-talking about the US response to the #COVID-19 pandemic. The truth is, our national response could have been quite a bit better—starting by being honest about masks (“Wearing masks is proven to provide some benefit during respiratory virus outbreaks, but they are not a perfect or complete solution. We also don’t even have enough N95 or surgical masks …

I keep seeing references to a decision made in #NY state, to send / keep elderly patients in group care homes instead of dispersing them into less-crowded situations where fewer would be affected by any one person’s infection. I honestly do not have the time or inclination to dig into it. But I can point to the state of #GA suing heavily affected #Atlanta to remove local ma…

Dang. Rutabaga (the #Lenovo IdeaPad that is basically a netbook) is becoming like my #PS4. It seems like every time I log in, it has kernel updates that will require a reboot.

Don't worry! I was just debugging something :)
I've been full of exams as well, but they aren't doing it online here. Covid-19, in Portugal, stops attacking on the scheduled exams hours. I guess that University of Porto has tamed it! :')
Best of luck on yours!

I still have one exam left; I wonder if e-proctor would be compatible with linux/bsd distros. About contributing to GNU social; In fact, the tasks concerning your original application are being handled by the accepted student. But v2 wasn't released as stable and there are pending tasks still. There's nothing frontend related pending tho, all v2 pending tasks are backend: http…

Too much light pollution here. I can see the Big Dipper, but I can barely see #Neowise, and only by looking elsewhere and letting peripheral vision grab that area.
-
I was able to find it with binoculars (or field glasses; these don’t have the shape that real binoculars do). But even then the light pollution reduced the contrast. My mom came out and saw it also, the showed me the Summer Triangle and Jupiter & I believe Saturn ????. (Naked eye, so no rings visible.)

Used https://www.space.com/comet-neowise-visibility-july-2020.html to help me know where to look. Most of the Ursa Major stars were hard to pick out, but if you can find the tail ( Big Dipper), look between there and the Western horizon

The comet is in a Northwesterly direction

As an adult, I have been to Ohio, Nebraska, Missouri, and Kansas (all of them for work), but not Indiana, Illinois, or Iowa.

@mangeurdenuage Is #Qwant really that pervasive? #Google got to be so big because its results were better than existing search providers. Yahoo used to be close (even with a Bing backend) and #DuckDuckGo was even closer (with Bing, #Yandex, and others), but lately, using a non-G search results in just going back to G. . The deep secret among search providers is that the "B" i…

I could try using #Gigablast for a while.
-
I used to use #Startpage / #Ixquick, but they were taken over by a sketchy company with a history of questionable actions.
-
@mangeurdenuage I think the thing #YaCy needs most is algorithm improvements. It already crawls and indexes a significant subset of the things in the major search engines' indexes, but it fails to select correct enough results out of that index.

From chronicle https://twitter.com/chronicle on Twitter: In late May, about two-thirds of plans collected by The Chronicle said they were planning for in-person classes. But that figure has slowly declined; by Monday afternoon, it was just above 50 percent. https://www.chronicle.com/article/Colleges-Hoped-for-an/249206?key=uy7jbj-OudpROsyljNAvPzhaa2UY-AZiBZI8wvMVS8-TO7DXInTJBoeruQA3xVeJa3BfNnNpbWhZbFp6bnRqMnJ1aWdMQlFCTlFmZ1RmT2NkbEV1bUsxb185Yw

I should find out when and where (what direction) to look for #Neowise. I would like to see the #comet.

I wonder whether #Stellarium will show it. Time to find out.

The house is getting too hot ???? during the day. I will have to figure out a way to cool it off some.
