never had AOL, but my wife and I met online. Apparently only 7% of marriages (as of 2015) started this way, which seems low, but I guess a lot of people meet in college.

@mangeurdenuage Also, these two have met in person.

@musicman One of my sons met his wife through a dating site. I’d be absolutely paranoid about the person being some knife-wielding fiend, but I must admit that he found someone worthwhile.
Note: After they’d been dating two or three months, he called me to tell me that she is the one.

@musicman Also, some couples meet in the workplace. One kid met his wife because they both worked at Target.

well, it's not like you pick them up at their place for the first date. You meet at a mall or restaurant or movie theater.
If they are able to not be a psycho for that long, then meeting someone at a bar is no less likely to have you end up dead.

although, that also depends on how long you've been talking online. I think Monk Turner may have dropped his bag off at my place the first time I met him in person.

There were many attractive young ladies at Epic, but I always felt weird about dating people at work. I literally have gone on one date with someone I worked with, ever. Funnily enough, Jacey and I were interview partners at Epic. It was ~2 years later that we went on a single date.
