     @hikerus I believe the markdown "spec" doesn't auto-link URLs. The plugin/lib supports the angled brackets notation though: http://daringfireball.net/projects/markdown/syntax#autolink

     @chimo Ok I see - so when plugin Markdown is enabled the "auto-link" function in !gnusocial is disabled and the syntax of Markdown has to be used.

     @hikerus With the default markdown parser, yes. With the GFM parser, it'll auto-link URLs (and give you strikethrough capabilities, etc).
