     @lohang The URI xmpp:gnusocial@chat.sobac.com is for !XMPP clients. It's possible that your browser doesn't recognize the xmpp: URI scheme, and is trying to open that URI itself. A 404 error sounds more like a Web browser error than an XMPP error. XMPP MUC errors are listed at http://www.xmpp.org/extensions/xep-0045.html#enter-errorcodes

     It may be certificate errors. My self-signed certificate for http://status.hackerposse.com/url/6558 expired some time ago, and the Prosody cert generator replaced it with one for cn=prosody.com which is completely invalid. On top of that it has also expired, so it's a doubly invalid certificate. I will fix it eventually, but I want to get a cert that lets me issue certs for my own …

     I'll have to troubleshoot it from outside my own LAN, since it #WorksForMe ... Also, #LowPriority especially now that there are so many others.
