   One of reasons I (almost totally) ditched Windows some 8 years ago. Now, I use Linux (and Android) almost 99% of time.

     @firusvg but the problem exists also on !GNU/Linux if one doesn't use separate users for e.g firefox&thunderbird.Addons can read addressbook

     If it's not my own machine where I'm not root it will be difficult to assign usernames for applications like mcscx-firefox and mcscx-mail
