It'd be okay if gNewSense, Trisquel, Blag or even Dragora worked on it but of course they don't :( -

Well, I believe the major problems are the non-free wifi & bluetooth drivers, and also the fact that it's an ARM device, not x86. -

oh, well I thought that there were some chromebooks with x86 too. - Well so, try to deblob the arm-kernel then - but missing wifi would suck -

Yeah. There are x86 Chromebooks out there, but at the time I received the laptop, the ARM was the cheapest. -

good luck with that, also hint from me: try debian first to see if you would need any blobs - also debian has quite good arm support.
