It's official. !emacs has given me carpal tunnel in my left hand. (The one that hits the control key) I have a followup next month.

@duck1123 check out @tavisrudd "Programming By Voice" .. alas have to wait for the video :( http://ur1.ca/cljyl

Erk... Presumably you've already mapped capslock to control? Also, mandatory reading: http://ur1.ca/tybm

I use Kinesis foot pedals for ctrl and alt; weird strategy but helped me a lot http://dustycloud.org/tmp/messydesk/20111023_006.jpg

Sorry to hear it anyway. RSI is a frustrating thing to overcome. :(
-
@duck1123 really? I stopped having problems since I mapped capslock to ctrl. I use the Logitech Wave keyboard http://ur1.ca/clk0p
-
That is my nightmare.

I have put off writing about it for a long time, but I spent a year recovering from critical RSI which delayed mediagoblin by 1 year
-
Hopefully I will write about it at one point but I already kinda wrote a medically personal blogpost recently ;P

@duck1123 I had that too - in both hands, two weeks with bandages. That’s when I started using chord-mode and it did not come back
-
@duck1123 I wish you a swift and thorough recovery. And: Don’t overdo your right hand, now. RSI in both hands really sucks…
