!debian is there a better disk-burning program than Brasero? I find it lacking - no way to set verify, for instance. I prefer more control.
-
Have you tried _xfburn_?
-
@usrshare I've not tried anything else - right now I'm just using what came with the distro. I'll look that one up, thanks!

K3b rocks!
-
@mbjunior great, another one to try - thanks!
-
@marjoleink as @mbjunior says the best i found is k3b but it comes with a lot KDE dependencies, which i don't like.
-
@ghostdancer I'll see - I don't want KDE desktop but won't avoid KDE applications if they're good or just what I need. Same for Gnome.
-
i use wodim in command line but for my sister, i installed #xfburn, lightweight as XFCE post-fix suggests, also pretty easy to work :)
-
normally gnome-apps are my first choice, but for burning discs I'm using k3b - it's doing a really good job and you can configure a lot!
-
@cpunk thanks. I already looked at xfburn and was not impressed (though it seems more capable than brasero). I'll certainly try it out!

I concur; I ditched Brasero when I switched to a minimalist Openbox setup.
