Farmers in #Quebec are known to fertilize near urban centers ( see https://www.mtlblog.com/lifestyle/the-reason-why-montreal-smells-like-shit for example ) ... I would be surprised if it didn’t happen elsewhere as well, but maybe other areas build up buffers of suburbs and exburbs between them and farms.
