      @musicman That does seem odd, unless you’re in a place like Arizona, where they have “dry” t-storms. The heat and the aridity are so much that rain sometimes evaporates before it reaches the ground.

      Our average August humidity is 68%, the same as Atlanta's yearly average. I know that's an apples/oranges comparison, but I think it makes the point. Both come from trees, after all.
