   @moonman Counties cannot secede without the state's (and Congress's) permission. It probably won't happen in VA nor in CA, where there's also some counties that want to leave. I think the formation of WV was because VA wasn't going to be readmitted until they approved the secession ... I doubt they'd be willing to let more counties go now.

     But ... if enough of those counties require their elected legislators to require the state to follow the Constitution, they'll still win.
