@moonman My first high school had an area with farm animals and an active FFA chapter, even though the citrus farms had all left and Los Angeles County had already started chasing the dairy farms out. The dad of one of [at the time] my best friends had lost his job, so all three kids did farming classes and FFA to help grow the food their family ate.
