Yes, it is. But when you see the same glaring flaws in every implementation of $PROTOCOL that affect communicating with people, you do see that protocols matter.-

@xj9 Yep. I agree. The only importance of protocols is that they can enable or hinder the people in their communications. (I'm sort of grumbling about hindrances right now.)
