@sean Don't their retailers have the boxes of enzymes and bacteria that one just pours and flushes? I'm assuming this is some sort of rudimentary septic tank and not just an outhouse pit. -

I’ve seen it in California hardware stores in areas where there’s a decent number of outlanders that come into town to do their shopping, so I would just assume the same thing holds true in the Midwest.
