   A nice, unintended side-effect of VPN'ing home is that I get #pihole sanitized DNS.

     @theru that's kinda what pihole does, yeah. I could set it up (or unbound + zone file) on all my machines, but I just set the pihole machine as the DNS server on the erx DHCP. I'm almost always connected to the VPN on the rare occasions I'm not home anyway.

     @theru at the moment I have: machines -> pihole (dnsmasq + hosts files) -> BIND. It's a little redundant, but I kinda like the pihole dashboard you get for free (mostly for the stats/overview). Oh and it manages the blocklist for you as well, I guess. Are you using anything to manage your blocklist?
