Planning to switch to thunderbird from claws-mail !linux
-
@tuxitop why?
-
@tiodude It doesn't support HTML composing, which I need sometimes and it doesn't let you do anything when it's checking for mail, annoying

Yes, it does tend to freeze up, that is true - but I find Thunderbird infuriating. Did you check Geary?=> http://bit.ly/geary_linuxnov

for the blocking on mail retrieval I switched to just fetchmail and procmail. emacs wanderlust and kmail then both just read the maildir.
-
@mjjzf I like geary's minimalistic approach but I think it still needs time. currently it doesn't even support email attachments.
-
@arnebab that's a smart workaround actually! thanks!
-
Certainly. But I think it is a very promising lightweight client.
-
@mjjzf yes, I'm really looking forward to using it in the near future and I'm sure I'm gonna like it.

glad to :) I switched to it, when my experimental kmail2 broke badly and I decided that I always want a backup. Now I use wanderlust more…
