The math is not too complicated, but I find the notation a pain.
Also, all the fuss over the group operation being additive in G_1 and multiplicative in G_2 seems such a faff.

The lecturer said that for a tensor of rank m over a finite dimensional vector space the number of components is
${m^{dim V}}$
So I looked at that for several hours! and could not understand it.
Well of course I thought about it now and it's obviously ${(dim V)}^m$
But I spent ages trying to convince myself that the incorrect thing was true.

there is the "tramlines" city festival happening in #Sheffield this weekend. I've not got a ticket, but will try to check out some of the fringe events.

For me, I quite like a bit of glitch! Listening to someone expressing themselves through a spontaneous functional iteration is joy. Hearing a pattern blow up and explode because a parameter has decided to divide by zero is a major source of algo pleasure for me. -
