   OK, I'll take a look at rcirc, too. Even if I did not find ERC so terribly difficult. It's an emacs mode, after all. ;-)

   @sazius on my Aspire One w/ Intel HW it works. But on my Nvidia card only GNOME 3 does not work. what can I do to help?

    my only concern is I'm not able to run !GNOME 3 on my !debian. GNOME people are working on the right direction to attract new users to Linux
