orphean (orphean)'s status on Sunday, 06-Mar-2016 01:53:56 EST orphean Progressing on adding google auth compatible two factor authentication to !gnusocial. I'm trying to figure out the trickiest bit so far which is hooking into the authentication process. There is an onEndPasswordCheck event which seems to give a hook into the login process but it has no way of affecting things downstream in an easy way. I'm suspecting I'm going to have to … -
orphean (orphean)'s status on Sunday, 28-Feb-2016 15:00:15 EST orphean It just did this again, had to clear out 59 rows where transport=xmpp. The "xmpp-out" transport queue items go through no problem. Need to figure out where this transport=xmpp is coming from because it backs up the whole queue when it happens. !gnusocial -
orphean (orphean)'s status on Saturday, 27-Feb-2016 20:40:39 EST orphean One thing I don't understand about the architecture of remote group following with !gnusocial: Why is there an intermediary form on the group's host instance at all? The fields are already filled out, by the time I get to there it has everything it needs to have to webfinger my user for the ostatussub page and redirect to my instance to confirm the sub. What need then for … -
orphean (orphean)'s status on Saturday, 27-Feb-2016 17:46:30 EST orphean My !gnusocial log was freaking out with the following errors being reported several times a second in a block of 4 messages: DBQueueManager (main): [http://status.hackerposse.com/url/9937 12990] Failed to handle item claiming queue item id = 15160 for transport xmpp implugin.php - Sending notice 12990 to <redacted xmpp account> DBQueueManager (main): [http://status.hackerpos… -
orphean (orphean)'s status on Saturday, 27-Feb-2016 03:04:42 EST orphean Figured I'd use the xmpp configuration I set up to hook my !gnusocial instance into bitlbee. Pretty nice honestly. -
orphean (orphean)'s status on Thursday, 25-Feb-2016 16:15:07 EST orphean !gnusocial With the last few issues I was having with remote groups having been resolved, I guess I'd like to announce http://status.hackerposse.com/url/9908 is open for business. Supports XMPP, uses Qvitter. Does NOT currently employ TwitterBridge and if it ever were to do so would be outbound only. Running master for both gnusocial and Qvitter. Open to tweaking things if… -
orphean (orphean)'s status on Wednesday, 24-Feb-2016 21:18:11 EST orphean !gnusocial I think there should be a plugin that adds a route for webfinger and just generates the host-meta and XRDs from the database on the fly. Is there one? If not I will be writing one. This cronjob script I wrote a huge kludge. I feel like this is maybe a solved problem for the bigger instances? How is this really done? -
