@gameragodzilla @mangeurdenuage The laws here were just a tool to use to harm a person, if that particular tool was not available, they would have used another. -

@gameragodzilla @mangeurdenuage I don't blame the laws here so much as I blame whoever reported him, not that I know who, because they knew what they were doing, and it was an obviously deliberate act to try to harm him. -

@joelpurra @boris If you have no empathy for a man with a family and career at stake being taken to task by the police for running a TOR exit node, sure. -

@gameragodzilla @mangeurdenuage If nothing else it was pretty much the vindication for the blocks I have, because this is exactly what I said would happen if I didn't treat things the way I did. Karl and I actually spoke a bit on that and he thought he took proper precautions, and, well, unfortunately he was wrong. I kind of wish I wasn't right in this case >_< He was a nice guy. -

@mangeurdenuage More on point, someone would have to have reported it, and he'd had an arguement with a bunch of people beforehand, so someone federated that kind of crap to him specifically to make him disappear. Really shit stuff. It's why I don't play around and just block the instances that have that kind of content, because its not in the slightest bit legal here. -

@mangeurdenuage The sad thing in this regard, is in many ways it was Jobs that kept the worse instincts of Apple in check. Look at how they instantly embraced a ton of shit stuff like killing the headphone jack and adding NSA backdoors the moment he was gone. -

We're going to a Laurel and Hardy show because that's what you have nostalgia for when you grew up homeschooled. -

@takeshitakenji In theory what would change for a favourite is the objectType, but it doesn't look like its doing so properly. -

@takeshitakenji Deletion creates a second notice, that federates normally, it looks like this:
Maiyannah Bishop deleted notice {{tag:community.highlandarrow.com,2016-12-11:noticeId=472997:objectType=note}}.
The noticeId referenced there is then used locally to delete the object. It's kind of on the honour system in that regard (we cant MAKE servers delete notices after all, but they should) -
