   @katiekats Every other character has both a "light side" and "dark side" path basically.  Vette's dark side path got cut short by the removal and it never got anything to replace it.

   @katiekats They didn't even replace the suicide arc with anything.  You just get a progress wall.  if you don't uncollar Vette, you literally cannot complete that character's "arc" if you can even call it one.

   @katiekats The problem with Vette is the same as there is with Rey in TFA to be honest.  I think its fine for Vette to have STARTED as some mouthy street urchin, but you never get a sense that she develops as a character, that she adapts to the world around her.  Which makes her stand out as very artificial seeming.

   You know, a lot of the reason is that as a LONG TIME Star Wars fan as a girl that grew up with the original films and adores them to the point of playing through SWTOR's cringey as fuck moments because I'm a stupid ass fan, the kind of character of Rey or not-Jan-Ors is meant to appeal and pander directly to me.  I find it directly insulting.

    @nerthos Yeah, Obi-Wan in the original first movie just casually lops some shithead gangbanger's arm off.  Rey gets a more direct hit and basically just burns and a mild, non-disfiguring wound.

    @nerthos Honestly even the ones done by actors who had no training at all in the original series were better than TFA's melee fight scenes.  It was extremely poorly choreographed, and the lightsabers suddenly got a lot less lethal to make up for that fact to try to give it a sense of danger, which actually ended up robbing it of said.
