Why isn't that raising an exception? -

@takeshitakenji Those behaviours are basically what made SSL labs or other similar websites neccesary for SSL troubleshooting for more than advanced configurations or benchmarking security. -

@takeshitakenji It happens a lot on machines that host several websites on Apache. Many programs like cPanel that automatically manage SSL certs for vhosts will try to find the closest SSL certificate for a domain that is on SSL if one does not exist. I do not think it is a helpful behaviour. -

@bob If you have equality or close to it between nations, I think it'd be irrelevant how tight the border controls are. -

@takeshitakenji That's not related to your problem, but it is a seperate issue. An instance with SSL errors will not federate properly. -

@loki Welcome to postActiv about two months ago, try to keep up. -

@bob Yes and no. I think that this confuses symptoms for the root cause. The root cause is inequality between nations. Even with weak border controls there will always be borders of some sort, be they the checkpoints of countries or the unspoken boundaries of social groups. When there is inequality between large groups, you will always see the stronger group … -

Unfortunately, making the exception classes actually expose error messages properly only helps in the case where there are proper error messages. Qvitter doesn't really have those. -

@loki @takeshitakenji "Did you try turning it off and then back on again?" -

@takeshitakenji @loki I don't know what you expect me to do about it, I don't maintain Qvitter. -

@bob A lot of companies talk a big game about how much they like their home country, be it the USA or Canada or the UK or whatever. Very few of them actually care to bring the jobs back to said home country. -

@bob The way they try to spin it as not forum-shopping for the place they can get away with that kind of thing is kind of amusing. Unfortunately as obvious as it is, there are plenty of "Apple fans" who will buy up the whole spin. If they didn't there'd have to be some uncomfortable realizations about the source of the products they use. -

@archaeme Though it's best to, for instance, go something like __parent::showForm($msg, $success) if you don't use either of them yourself, so that the parent can do it's normal handling. -

@archaeme Looks like you got child classes that don't properly follow their parent. You need at least the same parameters as the original, even if you are just discarding them. -
