   The Ur-Quan remain probably the most memorable antagonists in a sci fi game to me.

   My dream space 4x as a youngin was having something with the great game design of Master of Orion 2 as well as atmospheric music, and the lore and personality in the races that Star Control 2 had.

   The thing about the Antarans in Master of Orion 2 was that having an antagonist that so thoroughly and decisvely trounced you on occasion made it feel all the more cathartic and like an accomplishment when you got the stellar convertor near the end of the game and turned them all into tin cans.

   One thing the new Master of Orion reboot really makes me realise is how much Laura Barrat's soundtrack to Master of Orion 2 really helped give the game a lot of it's energy.  Like hearing the Antaran theme on that one cutscene you knew you were gonna get wrecked.
