   Okay well, I kind of ended up completely futzing around with server configuration both for the main site's VM and the new box for the community site, so that's pretty much done, just gotta grab the database at a quiet time tomorrow night, and then it'll be moved.

   One of my many battery of SELinux defeating tools got nginx running.  I basically just have a perl script that tries all of the various methods of getting it to fuck off.  I don't care which works as long as it does.

   It always gets in death battles with SELinux even if it's disabled and you can't uninstall SELinux at all since literally everything including the kernel will be uninstalled if you do.
