maiyannah (maiyannah)'s status on Thursday, 29-Dec-2016 11:36:42 EST maiyannah Given the choice between an entire field of medicine being fundamentally wrong in methodology and approach and a held belief being wrong, I'm going to default to the latter.
As Carl Sagan often cautioned us, "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence." -

maiyannah (maiyannah)'s status on Thursday, 29-Dec-2016 10:01:04 EST maiyannah @bob It depends on how you look at it. Most of the powers France has been exerting have been possible for a long time. It's just the government didn't really use them very extensively until recently. -

maiyannah (maiyannah)'s status on Thursday, 29-Dec-2016 03:29:47 EST maiyannah Actually in retrospect one of the things that W:TNO did so great was making its world seem so *authentic* despite being clearly a work of fiction. The people seem very *real*. -
maiyannah (maiyannah)'s status on Thursday, 29-Dec-2016 03:28:07 EST maiyannah You know, this is one of those things that I can recognize is petty and probably just me being fussy, but I had a hard time with Wolfenstein 2009 because of how fake the german accents sounded. -
maiyannah (maiyannah)'s status on Thursday, 29-Dec-2016 03:26:46 EST maiyannah @gameragodzilla Well it was probably around the same budget, but a lot of the budget would have gotten eaten up by licensing fees. You don't think Disney let that name go cheap did you? It's how the house of mouse makes the bulk of its actual money these days. Merchandising and licensing. -
maiyannah (maiyannah)'s status on Thursday, 29-Dec-2016 03:24:23 EST maiyannah @gameragodzilla They promised both titles at around the same time but you know they'll try to hold off on Battlefront going on there until sales dropped off. I don't actually think the Mirror's Edge game is that bad actually, but it's just "okay". We've had this discussion before though - you can't have a game that's just "okay" or "above average" or "below averag… -
maiyannah (maiyannah)'s status on Thursday, 29-Dec-2016 03:20:57 EST maiyannah @gameragodzilla I'll look at it when it goes on EA Access but who knows when that will be. It took like half a year for Mirror's Edge. -
maiyannah (maiyannah)'s status on Thursday, 29-Dec-2016 03:19:33 EST maiyannah @gameragodzilla Licensed titles never get deep cuts, or almost never, because they have a much larger investment of license fees to make back, practically speaking. -
maiyannah (maiyannah)'s status on Thursday, 29-Dec-2016 03:16:54 EST maiyannah @gameragodzilla Iunno, EA gets generous with its secondary titles, but they rarely cut price on licensed titles all that much.
