@gameragodzilla While most of the people who bash on our previous PM Harper won't admit it, like probably 90% of his unpopularity comes down to the media being against him. He should have just told them to go fuck themselves rather than try to be diplomatic, it seems. Certainly worked for Trump. -

It's something they've been facing a lot of flak for because it was like, flat out illegal for them to do so. The Snooper's Charter is in many ways them making it retroactively legal for them to do what they were already doing. -

@normandy Yes and no. It does clean them up but ones that the instance is actually using will be pretty much automatically regenerated almost instantaneously, esp if you use the daemons. So its mostly just useful for clearing out ones that are not really being used. -

I might take the new box as an opprotunity to try to put the community instance here on its own LAMP stack. I'm pretty sure the UTF8 problem is actually still happening on apache here, apache just fixes it somehow. -

@archaeme @normandy Well, I can mostly do it myself whenever the migration takes place, and just email you the new VM login details, I just need to know when would be a good time to do it, because your instance will be down for 30min to 1hr while ESXi migrates the VM from one server to another. And I might take a backup beforehand if I was you just in case something gets borked with the data transfer. -
