@alejandroindependiente As we found out recently, muting a User in a Web interface doesn't mean that the User is muted for other client applications, e.g. for AndStatus. Unfortunately. #poordesign
This means that AndStatus has to reimplement the same feature again. -

@maiyannah AndStatus does have this feature: it allows you to post/reply as any ”You” (i.e. your account in AndStatus). BUT again, by design of GNU Social, you can technically reply only to a copy of a message ("notice") that is located on the same GNU Social instance as an account that you want to use for reposting/replying/favoriting. @maiyannah Example of usage:
In order to hide notifications on favorited messages:
Go to AndStatus Settings -> Filters -> "Hide messages based on keywords or exact phrases".
And type in double quotes this: "favorited something by".
Please note that a phrase to hide should be exactly the same as you type it, even the same number of spaces between words...

@maiyannah Notifications on deleted and favorited ”notices/posts” are being sent by GNU Social servers. The way they are sent via "Twitter compatible API" that AndStatus uses, doesn't allow to distinguish such notifications from ordinary posts.
So yes, this is by design of GNU Social servers.
AndStatus has ”Filters” feature that allows to hide such unwanted messages from a Timeline. -

@mmn I would say that muting a User via Web interface SHOULD mute the User in any client application (for the same "Authenticated user")?!
If it's not a case, is this a consequence of a Web UI (qvitter) being developed separately from GNU Social core?

@bulletbites AndStatus doesn't have its own Image Viewer. So it asks the Android system to provide one.
It looks like on your device some time ago you set some dumb viewer as a default one. And now that viewer "doesn't know what to do with an image" :-)
Find and clear that defaults, and then you will be able to select another image viewer...

@bulletbites This quite unexpected image size/form factor requires a special ”scrolling image” component to be utilised, so the long image could be scrolled in its own area, which fits on a screen?!
If I could find existing component for this, the change will be very easy. -

@andstatus My Twitter feed is chaos compared to my GNUS one, plus I don't care much for Twitter at the moment. I'd rather use my limited phone screen space and battery life on the place that I feel has better discussions, rather than yelling at the world in 140 characters or less.
