If you haven't used Firefox in a couple of years, let me tell you: it has come a loooong way. It's slick, fast, full-featured, puts users and privacy first, and the dev tools are great. Short of the DRM drama (in which Google as an active supporter is much more at fault than Mozilla giving in to pressure imo), there should be no reason you couldn't use it as your default Web browser right now.

@maloki I don't even see what's good about Chrome. What features could it possibly have? All I know are tons of features it lacks (feed reader, non-advertisement-company as owner, libre source code, opposition to spying as a service...) -

@maloki Don't RSS/Atom feeds light up the RSS icon? (if added in HTML <head> they do). Unfortunately you need to edit your toolbar to drag the icon back there since some version of Firefox but it's probably one of the more useful features to have a built-in feed reader with feed URL discovery. -

On a Windows machine I just downloaded "Etcher", as recommended by Raspberry Pi for writing to an SD card. The compressed file was 55MiB, uncompressed about 150. Wtf?! How large is 'dd', some tens of _kilobytes_? And a bash script with some 'zenity' commands on top of that excluding window-manager-related binaries is at most 50KiB. Jeez. -

1. how about: "if you're not paying for it, there's a good chance you're the product"
2. we really have to start making #FLOSS users understand they *need* to support the software they're using financially even if there is no upfront price tag.

@pettter Glad you liked it. What's fun about it is that it'll just get the latest posts from the user's public feed, so if that feed contains 10 posts it'll get 10 posts, if it contains 100 it'll get 100....but probably time out and crash in the middle.
