Absolutely. I think the confusion comes from <i> and <em>(and <b> and <strong) both being styled the same way. Looking at the resulting text, they're indistinguishable, even though they're used for different purposes. -

I approve of their removal. Understanding the subtle difference between <i> and <em> or <b> and <strong> is a rare thing, even more so when applied to images. From your earlier messages about this code I do not think it means what they think it means. -

<i> is intended to convey an alternate voice, or to indicate certain stylings in Western prose (eg. ship names). I don't see how that could possibly apply to images... http://www.w3.org/TR/html5/text-level-semantics.html#the-i-element -

<b> is not intended to convey any semantic meaning like emphasis or alternate voice, merely to draw attention to the text. In the case of an image, the image could be styled with a thicker or differently coloured border http://www.w3.org/TR/html5/text-level-semantics.html#the-b-element -

In theory, #DBAN works directly with the drive hardware; no abstraction layer. This means that the drive electronics don't try to cache writes, optimize drive layout, or try to re-allocate bad sectors. Don't know if that's true for #dd -

Better to use #DBAN to wipe a drive: http://ur1.ca/ale1h And on modern drives multiple passes don't really help to remove data http://ur1.ca/5cx7t On the other hand, Peter Gutmann says " By deliberately under-stating the requirements for media sanitization in publicly-available guides, intelligence agencies can preserve their information-gathering capabilities while at the same time… -

Advice from my friendly neighbourhood Federal Government: "Never “jailbreak”, or try to remove the limitations imposed by the manufacturer of your device. This could disable security measures of your mobile's OS, making you an easy target for a virus, worm or Trojan." http://www.getcybersafe.gc.ca/cnt/rsrcs/pblctns/tp-shts/hld2012-smrt-phn-eng.aspx !infosec -

@cmusician Yes, how do I make chord symbols? Are there unicode characters for chord symbols? Are symbols better than names? What is the #POSH ("Plain Ol' Semantic HTML") way to encode it so that other apps can use that info? That will probably lead you down the rabbit hole of microformats http://microformats.org/wiki/sheet-music -
