    Really it's because leaving it in means fewer complaints. Since Fedora is doing the development they leave a lot of desktop stuff in.

    'yum erase libX11' shed another 40 useless packages. To be fair I could do a minimal install and build from there, but removing X be enough

    My instance still runs StatusNet. GNUSocial took over maintaining StatusNet code so it's not really a fork. So far it's not much different.

    Glad to know my headless database server has mesa-libGL installed by default. The Fedora bloat in RHEL is getting to be obvious.
