@theru Right on. I learned that one the hard way a while back, right after I moved to #mariadb. ;) -

@mrb Awesome, I may give it a try as well. -

@jrobb Just be sure to make small tweaks, backup your my.cnf before editing and give it a day or so between changes. The main thing I start with is lowering the number of max_connections, have it set at 24 currently. mysqltuner will also show the max possible memory usage with your current settings. -

@jrobb Ha, that’s a hell of an improvement. ;) (also, mysqltuner still works with mariadb it just won’t catch mariadb specific things) -

@mrb I haven’t seen a patch for that. -

@vk7hse I have no plans to close my SN at the moment. Of course, things may get quiet once identica switches until there is a pump<->SN bridge… -

@sqastar Maybe the choir needs that preaching. -

@nybill Also, I never merge pacnew/pacsaves unless whatever doesn’t run. ;) -

@dickturpin I knew that bond series was going downhill. :( -

@jrobb It’s not in there by default, you’ll have to add it. -

@jrobb and you can set it lower as needed. Coming straight from mysql, none of your databases are likely going to be using the Aria storage engine anyway. -

@jrobb One thing I had to add to my.conf was a aria_pagecache_buffer_size
setting. Default is 128M, I’ve set it to 16M otherwise it’s more of a RAM hog than standard mysql. -

@dick_turpin As far as I know. Which isn’t very far.
