(1/5) I am now using the newest version of #theme_nin for !Twister . I'm very impressed. This is how it looks https://gnusocial.no/attachment/17330

good news :-) the standard html UI offers also NIN + calm theme. I wonder if those would work better? If not: a bug entry on (1) would be great. (1) https://github.com/miguelfreitas/twister-html cc !twister

RT @aqeel !Twister is the easiest federated social network that I have tried installing. Installs on local computer, no need for 100% uptime, getting a domain name or getting an SSL certificate, not to mention federation works out of the box without any issue. After playing with most of the alternatives, this seems like magic!

With !twister you can access all past messages (e.g. !friendica does it also better than sn/gs: when you sub to a person it gets all past messages to your server)

I know you can post, since I can read you at !twister :-) I think the msg was when you try to post while your username is not officially "registered"

yes, there's more than the "blockchain", there are 3 layers, see "How does it work?" from the !twister FAQ (1). See also "Does it scale?" there. (1) http://twister.net.co/?page_id=25

@lnxw48 at least for my pretty restrictive environment it works :-) could only run !twister via tor the last months, but now: #happy (without tor)

I wonder how much resources it'll take (since one has to have the webserver + mysql/mariadb + docker at least). My !twister runs now for over 1 day and uses "only" 101 MB RAM, I have currently >20 connections to other peers.
