jira is down, and I lost a response. I'm going to retype it and then do some learning on #OpenShift, #Prometheus, and #Grafana.

I've head that #OpenShift is the bee's knees, but they do not seem to be the same thing and the same software stack as they were when OS was first announced. I used to get the monthly newsletter, but after they changed, the newsletter is sort of ho hum to me.

creating manifests erases the install-config.yaml. Is it supposed to? Idk. #openshift is a clusterfuck

let me know if you want to talk about #K8s distros or have questions. It is a huge part of our 2021 plan, and this #openshift ticket I have now has shown me I need to spend a lot of time on it. I work better when I have something specific to test or figure out, so you're really doing me a favor. We use #AWS and #ovirt for our...I'll call them provisioners. I much prefer ovirt, …

@musicman Hopefully you already have a background in #Kubernetes and / or #OpenShift, so that you can quickly get up to speed in #Camel-K

Attending an #openshift workshop by #redhat

@modemjunkie iirc @ericxdu23 aka @ericxdu ran a !gnusocial instance on #openshift, and I think there was some issue
-
whispers to @lohang -> there's always RedHat's #OpenShift for "free", eg. recently @howcanuhavemyusername@sn-steamers.rhcloud.com and @darksider3@statusnet-darksider3.rhcloud.com have set their camp there
-
Hi all, can you #subscribe to (1) please? he has started his instance on #openshift. cc !fediverse (1) https://sn-steamers.rhcloud.com/howcanuhavemyusername

I guess you saw the #Openshift tutorial (1) for #statusnet and especially this (2) already? (1) https://www.openshift.com/quickstarts/statusnet (2) https://github.com/mmahut/statusnet-openshift-quickstart
-
yes, e.g. @eric@status-ericxdu.rhcloud.com and @darksider3@statusnet-darksider3.rhcloud.com are using RedHat's #OpenShift
-
na dann nutz' doch RedHat's freies #OpenShift, sieht z.B. so aus fertig: http://status-ericxdu.rhcloud.com

@eric@status-ericxdu.rhcloud.com (for 9 months) and @mmn run their SN/GS on RedHat's #Openshift
-
I see, in case you have the urge again: you can install #statusnet on RedHat's #OpenShift (e.g. @eric@status-ericxdu.rhcloud.com is running it since 9 months there) AND you can still continue to talk with your #RDN buddies
-
you can do it too: your instance hosted on RedHat's #Openshift RT @eric The good news is that my #StatusNet instance seems to have plenty of time left before it actually runs out of space. I think it's been active almost 9 months, and requires only a #little maintainance. cc @question
-
some info for later: your #openshift SN has 42563 conversations with 59441 dents
-
done: 14 questions answered for: "As a valued member, please help us learn from your experience with #OpenShift. All we request is 5 minutes of your time."
-
ok, until then: you can play around by installing a statusnet instance on RedHat's #OpenShift as Eric has done for months: http://status-ericxdu.rhcloud.com

A "normal" user can run e.g. on #openshift a SN for herself, e.g. @eric does that since 7 months #adfree. And if someone wants to run a #public SN (offering accounts there), I think ads are not a good way, e.g. I run a ad-blocker, I wonder how much money one really gets. Better would be to ask the users #directly for #donations. In the end, personally: I don't like #ads
