The !Mint site has been getting DDOS attacks, and web site breaches (.iso files and their checksum files replaced with malicious code) Could be they're still down, but I'm looking to upgrade to a different distro. Perhaps !Ubuntu !Mate https://ubuntu-mate.org/ -

I'm a !GNU+Linux user too. Currently using !Linux !Mint !Debian Edition, but thinking of replacing it with Debian Testing with the !Mate desktop. BTW, @sorch, you need to subscribe to !Fedgroups before you refer to them in messages. F'rinstance, check http://legadolibre.com.ar/group/308/id and click on the "Subscribe" button. And, @mmn, shouldn't that be a "Join" button for UI consistency? -

I don't care much for the "Mint Menu" that's default in !Mate, but it's easily replaced with "Menu Bar" or "Main Menu" which give the usual hierarchical menu structure. I like !Mate because it's the lightest, snappiest desktop that still gives me the old !Gnome panel applets, especially the LCD Brightness control. -
