#JavaScript has a lot !security implications and it can currently not be understood by most search engines (I don't know even one that can). So if you want to drive good (and a lot) content into the search engines, you cannot bypass "static" pages (generated with #PHP, #Python, #Perl, #JSF and so on is not static but you can use #mod_rewrite to obsfucate your script names). -

#Javascrippled web pages (dependent on Javascript) don't work in secure browsers, don't work with accessibility devices, but most importantly, don't get indexed by search engines. It's that third point that usually convinces clients to avoid #Javascript dependencies. -

#Mozilla removed it from the default end-user settings window, but you can disable #Javascript in about:config -

I think #LibreJS also prevents running code through eval() (a really good security feature) which is a common practice within the insecure #Javascript world I love to bash. It would not surprise me if many external libraries require eval() execution. -

That happens (and has always happened in !sn) if the page hasn't fully loaded and you click something depending on #javascript. -

That's alright @lohang, you can still use the old interface or third party clients on your instance. In fact, I do too. Nothing bugs me more than fluffy #javascript. -
