I tore down and rebuilt my statusnet. It is now a single user at http://status.tonybaldwin.me (was previously tonybaldwin.me/status, now subdomain, not subdir).

also not communicating with identi.ca, and get error trying to join @postblue’s new feds group. Receiving tweets, but not xposting, not receiving from identi.ca, can’t mirror my SN > ID, nor ID >SN.
May rebuild in subdomain status.tonybaldwin.me or stat.tonyb.us and tear down tonybaldwin.me/status (in subdir, which I’m told is not good).

I have line 246 commented out in lib/oauth… (got it from pulling gitorious, in fact) but still not communicating with twitter. I see no error msgs.

RD @postblue I wish you all #feds a happy Federation Day ! #bluefeds #statusnet #vivalafederation
-
@sazius Yep, Coffee Day = Every Day (plus some evenings as well) :)
-
@ryanweal Today is not just my personal Federation day but, has been designated as the semi-official holiday: http://wiki.x1101.net/index.php/StatusNetInstances ;)

@jbfavre yes same error since this morning for all my posts as @encycl. I’m guessing twitter changed an API rule.
-
@thegeek Glad I helped while still being asleep. ;)
-
@gegeweb it's not implemented 'yet'. have a look at @bugs #2970 http://status.net/open-source/issues/2970 and voice your opinion overthere.
-
@postblue I’m at a loss on that one. :(

@jezra If you’ve ever heard that MariaDB is a direct drop in for MySQL, believe it. Because it is. Still a resource hog though…
-
@jezra Does MariaDB count as not using MySQL? If so, then my answer is slightly greater performance and more memory usage.
-
@jbfavre yes I have that configured. the daemons don’t appear in getvaliddaemons so I tried adding them manually.
-
@mvdan University Schmooniversity. Don’t forget the #feds. :P

does this work in 1.1.x? Twitterbridge was 2 way for me in 1.0, but I can only post in 1.1.x
-
@boneidol Looking at your version page, ostatus is only listed once so it looks good with it in config.php.

@boneidol When I upgraded my http://url.jpope.org/5o instance, it went quite smoothly. But, it’s not as big (db size wise) as http://url.jpope.org/lf is. The db upgrades may take a while, especially when it checks the ‘retweets’...

!feds Ok, here is what I’ve figured out on the “Private” option on the web interface. It works in conjunction with the Groups dropdown. Whatever you have selected there determines who gets to see the notice. And above all, the private notices do not federate. The group that you are posting the private notice too has to be on the instance that you are posting from. Seems …

That’s alright, that’s also what the !feds group is for as well. Ask away. :D
