Guess I’m good to go, I don’t use ubuntu or sudo. :P
-
warning to the !statusnet !feds. Ubuntu 10.04 LTS doesn’t have the updated #sudo to fix a security vulnerability. I had to download the .deb file. Version 1.8.4p5 or higher is needed.

@shnoulle lorea was working on an elgg project with several GPG features. friendica offers extreme privacy features. Take a look at those.
-
Are you running !statusnet on !archlinux? Here are my init scripts for my instance. http://url.jpope.org/mx !feds
-
@postblue that works fine :-)
-
@postblue nicely done
-
@postblue Also, you can see on mine an example of how people can increase the limit for attachments and allow ogg files as well http://encyclomundi.org/wiki/Parlementum_Server_Statusnet
-
@postblue I think people should be cautioned against setting the site single-user, because of the issues later on if they add an addl user (even a bot). Best to set multi and closed registration IMHO

-
It’ll break federation for a bit for you due to your path changing.
-
Yep, it seems to work quite well. I don’t really need it on my single user instance but, it does catch some spam from identica.
-

-
@jpope Thanks. and Done. Now i have some “spam” that’s not spam. If I hit the ! does that make it ham?
-
It’s quite easy. Sign up at http://url.jpope.org/mq so that you get a key and add this to your config.php http://url.jpope.org/mr #activityspam !feds
-
@evan and !feds any directions for using the activityspam plugin and spamicity.info on statusnet 1.1 alpha?
-
@parlementum never mind, activated posix support in php.ini
-
fellow !statusnet !feds have you seen this error in 1.1 when trying to start daemons? PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function posix_getpid() in …/lib/daemon.php on line 90
-
@windigo I do now :)
-
!feds & !statusnet I’m installing 1.1 and getting this error: Cannot find a database extension. You need at least one of mysqli, pgsql. Any clues?
