@mvdan Dude, that is great. Interesting that it shows my instance as Open when it’s not. Also, my xmpp bot isn’t listed. Fantastic work!
-
And then there is the staple #ownyourdata argument as well when you have your own SN instance. !feds
-
@tekk This is why I advocate never changing your URL. ;)
-
@jim You’ve seen the effects of changing from a single user instance to a multi user instance. Any changes in your URL will break federation. Starting over would be your best bet if you want to use your domain.
-
@pztrn you and me both! ;)
-
@pztrn Oh I read it. 2 of 4 machines updated without problems, 2 (1 laptop & 1 server) turned into bricks. I was able to recover the laptop without loss, sadly had to rebuild the server from old backups
-
@pztrn I think so, just spent days rebuilding my other server after a failed Arch update…sigh.
-
@lnxwalt issues are still ongoing.
-
!parlementum !feds update: it died again. disabled Twitterbridge, xmpp, facebook plugins to remove extraneous noise whilst I try and diagnose WTF is going on. I’ve made NO changes to this server.
-
@jrobb Sometimes it’s voodoo as to how it picks which user. ;) I think that whoever hits you db first gets the call, if there is any issue, you can use the full id like @jrobb@micro.jrobb.org
-
@lnxwalt famous last words. Parlementum is borked again.
-
@lnxwalt the problem seems over. Not sure I can take credit for fixing it, more.likely the deus ex machina.
-
@mvdan yes lots of old posts coming through now. It must have coughed up the hairball.
-
@whistlewright @jim looks like it’s coming unstuck now. lots of old posts going out and coming in.
-
@mvdan I don’t use memcached AFAIK. checkschema is fine. daemons & server have been restarted multiple times.
-
@parlementum something is major foobar. My dent you commented in was not from 1/2 hour ago but from about midnight last night. also, when I sign into my fed in mustard I see exactly one post. !feds
-
Attn !feds ParlementumSN isn’t receiving incoming federated messages. Ironically, the TwitterBridge is working. Here are the weird errors: http://pastie.org/4295617 Ideas? I haven’t made any changes
-
@vk7hse Also, I’m currently using Pusher for my realtime. If you want to check it out, the plugin is at https://gitorious.org/statusnet-pusher/statusnet-pusher
-
@vk7hse Here is my write up on it: http://whird.jpope.org/2012/01/22/my-statusnet-meteor-and-realtime-setup
-
@jim That’d be the problem with the echo. ;-)
