Yes, anyone can do what they please on their side of the !fediverse - I just think that power users and companies simply are incompatible with the federated structure and that tools for measuring e-penises is asocial and thus in vain. I also appreciate your work with Diogo but you should be well aware of my situation and our communication by now. I would prefer a some…
Why would anyone want brands, companies and other crap in their _social_ feeds? Isn't the whole point of why people enjoy the !fediverse that it's _not_ like the asocial advertisement platforms?
Let's not explicitly invite capitalism. Let them build their own damn tools.
Yo a Mastodo…
As all good things come to an end some day, there's only one thing left to say: Thanks for the past four years here on !gnusocialde. You all were awesome and wonderful people. Keep being excellent to each other!
Hey !fediverse - there was an (Australian?) !XMPP web front-end that made extensive use of pubsub a couple of years ago. Anyone remember what it was? (I already got a suggestion about "Salut à Toi" but that's too new to be what I was thinking about).
@dansup not sure if it's a good idea to create new solutions instead to improve existing ones. IMHO in that way we never got nothing finished. Maybe not, but experience told us that after some time, the new project will be also unfinished and no one takes care of it. We must try to join efforts, not to diversify it. PD I appreciate your efforts to improve !gnusocial !…
(I'm back) The !fediverse group is for all things related to the whole Fediverse, !gnusocial is about the gnusocial part of the fediverse and in !fedgroups it's all about groups. If you create a new group or if a group moves to another instance or you want people to know about a group you post to !fedgroups.
Some Instances have a group for their instance, too.
@hund T.ex. är !gnusocial och !fediverse en grupp för folk som vill diskutera #GNUsocial över instans-gränser utan att behöva prenumerera på varandra (en prenumerar på gruppen endast som vidarebefordrar meddelanden).
What I dislike the most about the newfound popularity of the !fediverse are all the people asking for money. Either it annoys me because I don't fully understand these peoples' very real situation - with me thinking that gosh darnit, if they have an internet connection (and most often a phone as well) then they're already pretty darn well off. But maybe it just mostly…
