@maiyannah @gameragodzilla In fact, there's even a group !Fediverse to encompass discussions about GNUsocial, Friendica, Hubzilla, and even Diaspora -- really, anything that federates with OStatus (sadly not Pump.io yet).

off to my #hammock! slow but sure progress today. Set up Dynamic DNS for one subdomain (for Hal, the NAS) at a free service; can CNAME it back to my own (sub)domain. Only thing is, their service cannot detect my IPv6 address, so I'll have to find something different, or create that myself. (I like the latter, if it's not too hard.) Now looking at tiny-small VPSs to host …
