The problem occurred after a "dpkg-reconfigure tzdata". But the logrotate maintainer says that the TZ should not change. Bad for travelers. -

Plz fix your !Debian time zone with: dpkg-reconfigure tzdata ⤳AND check your .profile file in your home directory for overriding discrepancy -

Indeed, !Debian's dpkg-reconfigure tzdata will do the magic, except when overridden by the #TZ environment variable set in user's ~/.profile -

For !debian, it is OK if the system trashes your data if the timezone is changed. :( -
