I should find out whether #BitMessage and #Twister are still around. Not that I would even remember how to use the same UserIDs that I had when I used those systems. -

So I'm not going to completely pull the plug on either #Bitmessage or #Twister yet, but neither one seems to have much personal interaction going on*, so I expect to greatly reduce the time and effort invested in either one. Twister is full of feed repeaters, but not much actual person-to-person conversation. Meanwhile, it can be months between incoming messages on Bitmessage… -

@lnxw48 can you please remember when you start your !bm client so we solve the mystery? One theory is this: "Common reason for it not to work is that the client where it is hosted is not reachable." tip of the day (from mailing list): "You can still #reduce your #database somewhat with SQLite vacuum command. First close !bitmessage, then run 'sqlite3 ~/.config/PyBitmessage/messages.dat vacuum;' This reduced the size for me from 935MB to 804MB." -
