Opened my presents tonight during tonight's videochat with #sonTwo and his wife and son, consisting of a photo album filled with photos of #GS3, some refrigerator magnets (also with his picture), and a hoodie.
Realized that my grandson is not the only one celebrating his first Christmas. One of my sisters also has a grandchild celebrating her first Christmas. -

@moonman You could have patched #Pump.io to support AP. Since its protocol is the direct ancestor of ActivityPub, much of what you'd need is likely already there in basic form.
I suspect that it would already have happened if Alex (currently main maintainer) wasn't busy with college. -

When that one brother texts me, I know it means that he wants something (always for someone else). Immediately makes me very tense. Inside, I want to say "What do you want this time?"
Now he's texting to ask me to help his friend move in a few days.
I realize he's known this guy for over 35 years, but I feel like it would not be acceptable if I texted him to help one of my friends move. -

@simsa03 It is good for them to escape the kitchen, but I fear that dispersing solely into corporate employment will make them more vulnerable in the long term. $CORPORATION cares not whether they live or die, so I would like to see some fraction starting their own businesses in fields other than foodservice. -

https://github.com/lehenbauer/tclspi !tcltk extension to access the !RasPi’s #SPI bus. In Tcl’2019, Day 3, someone did a LED lights demo with this (after a similar demo using !Arduino).
Like other such demos, it gets boring quickly, but the point is to show the possibilities, and to provide a starting point for further learning. -

This year, someone asked me for electronic copies of old papers I wrote as a Business student. I got to laugh about it, as I replied that they were all on floppies and disposed of years ago.

In all honesty, many of them were type on a manual typewriter, so there was never an electronic copy. Others were written using a variety of #MS-DOS software (whatever the campus computer lab had at the time). -
