I spend a *lot* of time in hotels. That means that even when I try not to, I eat out a lot.
If you're concerned about health, you'll quickly find that sit down restaurants are usually no healthier (and many times, quite a bit worse) than fast food. -

The military housing area was right across the street from a local housing area, so kids intermingled on the playground. @sim True, but small nations with long histories are likely to have border areas where many people speak both their home nation's language and the neighboring nation's language. I think the stereotype that English speakers won't learn other languages comes from the fact that most English-speaking nations are large areas without a lot of interaction with foreign language speaker… -

Up way past #bedtime because I was setting up a temporary throw-away project that I could not get to work. It didn't make sense at all.
Turned out that the project did the right thing, but without telling me. It wants to force me to do all the extra preparation, because that's the right and secure way to do things. But I was okay with not doing those things in this one case. -
