@simsa03 I still have a job, but there's been no work for four months. About 1/3 of the technology staff are waiting to be called back to work. -

Speaking of retail staff, I found a bottled water product that my mom regularly buys and drinks, so I picked up three liter-sized bottles. Turns out that there’s a two item limit on water products. The store’s employee was very nice about it.
(I use a Brita filter pitcher, which removes most of the bad taste of our local tap water.) -

So today I went to five stores, looking for two things: eggs and bathroom tissue (toilet paper). Result: at one store, I was driving into the parking lot as the delivery truck for the egg company was leaving, so I bought eggs. No luck with the other one. -

@guizzy According to recent US CDC figures, 81% percent of people globally do not wash their hands regularly. Ignoring the ones in countries where soap and running water are not generally available, people in the developed world _should_ try to be cleaner. I'm not one of those "bathe in alcohol sanitizer every hour" people, but regular soap and water can not only help keep peop… -
